Only one team remains left standing this year that I could stomach winning Lord Stanley’s Cup. Let’s Go Vancouver!

Wednesday March 23rd, 2011 17:03 Teen Daze: Le étalée, nouveauté glorieuse
When we last left you Teen Daze had released an improperly timed but dreamily heart felt summer tribute album. Since then the one man wonder has been dropping new tracks on us faster than we can say Ashton Kutcher. Last week he presented his fans with Reinterprets Selections From “Mend” By Geotic, which is Daze’s take on Baths (Will Weisenfeld’s side project). Harmonizing beats here folks. Let it blend in. Translated Le étalée, nouveauté glorieuse means ‘The sprawling, glorious novelty.’ Fitting. Download the album for free here and listen to my favorite below.
Saturday January 15th, 2011 11:00 Braids: Glass Deers (Teen Daze Remix)
A short one for you weekend warriors. Hypem is streaming Braids debut album Native Speaker in anticipation for its January 18th release. Pay attention to these guys, I expect big things. Teen Daze remixed “Glass Deers,” which you can listen to below. I also included my personal favorite, “Lemonade,” so that your ears have something friendly to listen to over the weekend.

Wednesday December 1st, 2010 03:48 Teen Daze: Beach Dreams
When Sloane was just an infant (Dear 8 pounds 6 ounces new born infant Sloane…) I mentioned my admiration for Teen Daze and his hazy, synth-heavy pop music. With special mention to the awesomeness that is Bandcamp, Teen Daze has released “Beach Dreams,” a final reflection on summer via an EP. Also, it’s free! While Daze abandoned his trusty synth and picked up a guitar, he kept the same lo-fi sound that defined his earlier work. Feel free to download the album for free through Bandcamp. Perhaps the beach theme is a bit inappropriate as the holidays are here and snow is about to rear its ugly head, but as Daze says, …I hope that you guys can look back on your past summer, and let these songs remind you of some of the good experiences you had!” So kick back, take off those Cosby sweaters, put on a speedo and reflect on oceans, sea shells, hot dogs, sun burns and Fourth of July.
Wednesday September 8th, 2010 18:08 Gobble Gobble
Welcome to noise. From my limited time spent on their myspace page and their website, Gobble Gobble seem a bit….strange. At the very least I would describe them as colorful. Music wise they bring the sound; lots of it. Gobble Gobble are the music equivalent of your first kiss. It is super intense, a bit awkward, and over too quickly. What do you mean your first kiss was not like that?
They are on tour “forever,” and need help with some venues. So take a look at their myspace page for more details and take a listen below. Teen Daze even make an appearance.

With summer waning, what better way to see it off than with this perfectly named tune from Teen Daze. Buy their debut album here.
