Ra Ra Riot have a bunch of new songs coming out. The best yet is this jam that sounds an awful like a Discovery b-side. You can check out their previous two releases on their soundcloud page.
Wednesday November 14th, 2012 12:36 Ra Ra Riot: Beta Love
Ra Ra Riot’s last album, while delightful to this listener, received some negative reviews for lacking some happy pop qualities. Some stated their sophomore album was a bit too serious as opposed to their lauded debut. I loved em both, but what do I know. Answering those critics, Ra Ra Riot released Beta Love. An injection of pure pop bliss, Beta Love is bathed in pop glitter and sprinkled with smiles and unicorns. Enjoy. They have a new album coming in January.

It feels like Monday… but its Tuesday (Thank God for Lincoln). Celebrate this short week with me by downloading Jhameel’s new album The Human Condition (for FREE)… here. Like fellow indie-rockers Phoenix, MGMT, and Ra Ra Riot, Jhameel’s music is instantly catchy and insanely memorable. I’ve linked my favorites below. Enjoy.

Tuesday January 25th, 2011 11:09 Ra Ra Riot: Can You Tell (The Kids are RADIOACTIVE remix)
Sloane Ranger is proud to support the Creme De La Creme concert series blowing through the US during this way too cold winter. The tour will be hitting Boston on February 10th and will be featuring mix master RAC, DJ Voltran and today’s featured The Kids are RADIOACTIVE. The Foundaiton Room in partnership with the House of Blues will be hosting the event. We urge all you Boston sloanes to come out and dance your coldness away with us.
The great thing about The Kids are RADIOACTIVE is there name really says it all. With a beat that would fit snugly into any dance club, their remix of “Can You Tell” manages to keep all the charm of the original. I included Time Warp as well, which has a very Daft Punk feel to it. We will be supplying more info about the Creme De La Creme concert in Boston as the date gets closer. In the meantime, listen below and feel free to start your own miniature dance party.

Saturday November 6th, 2010 07:59 Modern Rivals: Modern Rivals EP
The new trend in indie pop appears to relish in swelling energetic bursts mixed in with some string accompaniments (see: Ra Ra Riot and Los Campesinos!). Modern Rivals is the latest outfit to replicate this style, and based off their debut EP they are set to emulate the success of those two aforementioned bands. Making the kind of songs that just beg you to hum along, the young band from New York won’t be unsigned for long. Need more convincing? They appear to love forests and are giving away their EP for free. Take a listen below; as a recommendation I would start with the fifth track, Darling Killer. Video after the jump (forest and mandolin included).
