Here’s a new slow jam from unheralded songwriter Cass McCombs. “County Line” is the opening track from his forthcoming album WIT’S END, due April 12 on Dominio. According to the press release, this one will conjure up images of “purple and black” and will be McCombs’ “darkest record to date.” Not great news for those winter blues, but that falsetto chorus is just too good to pass up.
